Our Mission:
“We are a community that strives to love God and love people
and to demonstrate that love in all that we say and do.”
Our Vision:
“We are to be a beacon of Christ’s light as we actively participate in God’s work in our church,
our community and the world through worship, study, fellowship, and service.”
Since 1992, an Angel Tree has been a part of the WCPC Christmas season. Each year, the WCPC congregation has generously provided gifts to hundreds of children at the Manchester Youth Development Center and the Mars Home for Youth. Through the Angel Tree we will be providing gifts and Christmas cheer for many less fortunate families and children this holiday season, but with a COVID twist. With the ongoing pandemic, the entire Angel Tree this year will be virtual/contactless.
If interested in selecting an Angel to sponsor a child, please follow the link here to the Virtual Angel Tree: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D45AFAB2EA5F9C61-manchester
You’ll see that all gifts this year are for children at the Manchester Youth Development Center, which was founded in 1968 to nurture the development of children by meeting their academic, social, and emotional needs in a safe, constructive and wholesome learning environment. For many children, the MYDC has provided safe haven from the streets and given encouragement to make positive life choices.
Follow the link for instructions on how to select a child and get your gifts to us so that all gifts can be delivered to MYDC for distribution to the children after December 18.
Thank you, and if you have any question, please call Laura or Alyssa Clark, 935-8695.
May the Christmas spirit be shining within you and let us all remember the Reason for the Season!
