WE'RE OPEN! 

We are excited to allow you inside to browse the stacks and see the new renovation!  Our hours are Mondays and Wednesdays from 2-6 pm, with 2-3 pm reserved for high-risk patron use only. We have a max capacity of 6 people in the building at once. If we reach capacity please add your name to the waitlist in the foyer and you will be called in as soon as it's your turn. So far this system has worked well and we've been delighted to welcome so many of you back into the building.

Please complete your temperature check, sanitize, and sign in upon entry.  Masks, temperature checks, and contact tracing are required, and masks, gloves, and VT's own Silo Distillery sanitizer will be provided for your convenience.

**If you have travelled out of state, please follow the appropriate protocols for quarantine and testing before returning to the library. We appreciate your caution and care to keep everyone safe.**

To participate, come view the photo display in the library (or online on our website) from 11/16 through 12/23.  
  • Make a donation (of any amount) in honor of your favorite photo, or photos: donate a dollar vote for each photograph, five dollars for your top five favorites, twenty dollars for your top two, or donate fifty dollars for your first choice. There is no right or wrong way to donate/vote! You can EVEN VOTE FOR YOUR OWN!!! 
  • You may visit the Circulation Desk to vote in person with cash or check.
  • To vote from home: mail in your vote or vote online using our Network For Good online donation option.  (Use the hyperlink here or visit https://blakememorial.org/donate-library/ , look for the Network For Good button, and click on it)
  • The photo with the largest donated dollar amount attributed to it will be the People's Choice Award Grand Prize Winner and the winning photographer will receive a gift box of organic, fair trade, and locally made gifts and products.   
  • If you are interested in taking one of these photographs home with you we will be holding a silent auction after the contest wraps up so stay tuned for more information on that.
  •  All donations go to support our programming and collection development and we are grateful for your support!
