While the Estonian Government has been spreading negativity with planning the plebiscite of the concept of marriage, November has brought us great news from outside of Estonia. At the beginning of the month, we happily shouted "Hooray!" for the victory of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris – we are sincerely pleased that the United States will be led by a new administration that values LGBTQ + rights and human rights in general. A week later, the European Commission presented its first-ever strategy on LGBTIQ equality in the EU.
From the human right centre, we bring news from diversity and inclusion field and are so-so excited to invite you to our Giving Tuesday event already tomorrow. Donating is very personal and value-based, which is why it is important for us that the activities and funding of Estonian Human Rights Centre are clear and completely transparent. That is why we invite everyone to pay us a virtual visit tomorrow!

A global celebration of generosity, Giving Tuesday is already tomorrow!
Come and visit the Centre virtually and safely tomorrow, on December 1st! Find out who our people are and what we do! How we choose litigation and how your donations helps to make Estonian society more beautiful for everyone?
During Giving Tuesday, it’s as if you’ll have the Estonian Human Rights Centre in your pocket! Throughout the day, we will do live sessions on our Facebook and Instagram pages – we will talk about centre’s activities, give out gifts and answer people’s questions. It is important that our supporters trust us and see that the money donated to the centre always goes to the right place.
How to donate? Do it in “Ma armastan aidata” (I love to help) environment! Swedbank will increase the impact of donations made in the donation environment on December 1st with its own contribution. Donate to the Estonian Human Rights Centre!

In Estonia, diversity is highly valued by more than 130 employers
At the beginning of November, 12 Estonian organisations signed the Diversity Charter. This big value-based step was taken by ABB, birkle IT, CyberCube, the Estonian Association of Youth Workers, Enterprise Estonia, Embassy of the Netherlands, Environment Agency, Korruptsioonivaba Eesti (Corruption-Free Estonia), Luidja Tsirkusetalu, LVLup! Video Game Museum, Odeon Bar and the Estonian Patent Office. Thus, 136 organisations have already joined the Charter in Estonia.
"Against the background of current social and political developments, there are more and more organisations that want to show their openness and values to others. Diversity Charter is one such opportunity," said Liina Rajaveer, Head of Diversity and Inclusion at the Estonian Human Rights Centre.

ADM’s great principle is ‘people above all else’
In September, the Center together with the Ministry of Social Affairs recognised organisations with the Diverse Workplace quality label. Among others, ADM Interactive, the digital agency which has also appeared in the media with bold speeches supporting a diverse and inclusive organisational culture, received the recognition for the first time. We asked Sigrid Pedak, Head of Human Resourses in ADM Interactive, what is the key to their good diversity management success.

Estonian Refugee Council joined the Equal Treatment Network. The Director Eero Janson said, that the current political situation has highlighted the fact that human rights and equal treatment issues should not be considered narrowly from the perspective of one target group and it's important to work together.

The finale for the ''Just Some Guy in Eesti'' webseries will be a charity concert on December 11th to collect funds for the Estonian Human Rights Center. Line-up includes Moniji, Sammalhabe, Meisterjaan, and Kristel Aaslaid. Welcome!
