General Absolution Sunday

 

For the protection and safety of both parishioners and priests, our Bishop has indicated that we will need to forego our traditional Advent Penance Services this year. Normally, each deanery offers a series of Penance Services in each parish of the deanery. Instead, since these are not normal times, we will continue to offer the Sacrament of Reconciliation through General Absolution. At the bishop’s suggestion, we will offer General Absolution at all the weekend Masses on the four Sundays of Advent (Nov 28-29, Dec 5-6, Dec 12-13, 19-20).

Para la protección y seguridad de los parroquianos y sacerdotes, nuestro Obispo a indicado que tendremos nuestras confesiones y Adviento comunitarios tradicionales. Normalmente, cada decanato ofrece un servicio penitencial en cada parroquia, pero en estos momentos el obispo sugiere que ofrezcamos el Sacramento de Reconciliación por medio de la Absolución General durante todas las misas las cuatro semanas de Adviento ( Nov 28-29, Dec 5-6, Dec 12-13, 19-20).

• Those of you who use weekly offertory envelopes, please enclose your donation in the designated envelope and mail it to the church.  You can also put your envelope through our mail slot located on the right side of the entrance of our parish office.  
• Many of you pay your bills using online banking bill pay, you may choose St. Mary Star of the Sea Church to send your Sunday contribution.
