Work at the DHI! The UC Davis Humanities Institute is hiring a GSR for Spring Quarter 2021. This grad student position involves writing, newsletter production, publicity, website support, and occasional assistance with DHI programs and events. Apply on Handshake.

UC Davis Professor of Anthropology Alan Klima has won a 2020 Gregory Bateson Book Prize for Ethnography #9 (Duke University Press, 2019). The book, which is also available as an open-access PDF, uses multiple voices to study moneylending, gambling, funeral casinos and the consultation of spirits and mediums to predict winning lottery numbers.
