ENZAMET wins clinical trials award trifecta highlighting the importance of investigator-led research

SMICS 2019-2020 online annual forum “Ethical Considerations”
On 7 December, the Southern Melbourne Integrated Cancer Service (SMICS) premiered their annual forum online titled “Ethical Considerations”. Associate Professor Clare Delaney provided insight into the moral distress, anxiety and regret that Victorian cancer healthcare workers have faced during COVID-19, and are likely to face in the future with the expected surge in delayed cancer diagnoses.
The SMICS forum also showcased the pilot of a new radiological report to define resectability of non metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcenoma (PDAC) developed in partnership with the Upper Gastrointestinal Cancer Registry (UGICR), North Eastern Integrated Cancer Service (NEMICS) and the Southern Melbourne Integrated Cancer Service (SMICS). MRFF Emerging Priorities and Consumer Driven Research Initiative – 2020 Childhood Cancer Research Grant
This funding scheme aims to provide grants of financial assistance to support medical research and medical innovation projects that improve our understanding of the aetiology, biology and progression of cancer in children and adolescents. $9 million is available in this funding pool, and applications close on 3rd February 2021.
