Please be aware that the coronavirus pandemic may still be impacting parcel delivery to some countries from Australia. I send all parcels through Australia Post standard delivery and they are expecting unprecedented parcel delivery volumes in the lead up to Christmas this year. You can check the current delivery time frame for your country at Australia Post - coronavirus impacts.

This Month's Charity
For December I will be supporting Tasmanian Land Conservancy.

I also recently made my November donation to Greening Australia, donating specifically to a program called Tasmania Island Ark and you can read about their programs here:

Doll Donations
This month I want to thank Tara in Ireland, and Nellie in New South Wales for your amazing doll contributions. I do appreciate them so much!

DIY Tips and Ideas
Someone contacted me recently about making the silicone doll shoes. The boots they had made were splitting when they tried to remove them from the doll. This was because the doll was a type that actually had feet. For dolls that have the snap-on feet/shoes such as Bratz and Moxie dolls, I create boots, or shoes with socks included. These stay on better. If you are creating shoes for a doll with actual feet (such as a Barbie doll) you need to make the shoes the right height that they will be able to come on and off without splitting, but will still hold onto the feet without falling off to easily - such as mary-jane or moccasin type shoes. Here are some examples of shoes I've created for different types of dolls - the first three images for dolls without feet, the last image showing two pairs of shoes for dolls with feet.

Family Life
Found these interesting creatures while walking with my kids recently: a beautiful leopard slug and our very first sighting of a Christmas beetle this season!

As we draw to the close of this very long-seeming year, I look back on all the fun times I've had despite all the challenges this year has brought. Earlier this year my partner John challenged me to find a four-leaf clover every day (because I would often find them anyway). I haven't managed to keep up finding one every single day, but it gave me a purpose for my daily walk during lockdown, and I have kept and pressed each one into a little book as well as keeping a journal on Instagram, where you can check out all my finds. I certainly count myself lucky. And I wish all of you the best of luck over the holiday period and into the new year.

Thank you so much for following my work, and for taking such an interest in what I do. Please feel free to drop me a line and let me know what type of news items you would like to receive each month  - DIY tips, sales information, stories from buyers and their dolls, a day in the life of a doll crafter etc. I always appreciate your feedback!

All the best,
