Raio Annual General Meeting! Come along!

General Meeting for Raio De Sol

Wednesday 9th December!

6:30pm - 7:30pm : Outdoor Practice (first)

7:30pm - 8:30pm : AGM + Dinner + Social Chat

After a pretty interesting 2020 for Raio De Sol + the world around us, we'd love to have you join us for our AGM which is where all and any members can come and contribute ideas and energy into the band.

It's also where we have to choose offical committee members who are tasked to do specific back end work that makes a community group like Raio De Sol work - please come along to know how we do what we do and to nominate and vote! All Raio members (which is you) should come and roles are open to all members.

Committee Member Roles :
Chair / Vice Chair / Secretary / Treasurer / Events Coordinator

The minimum official roles we need as an incorporated community group.

Other Member Roles :
Public Officer / Email Coordinator / Grant + Gig Application Writer / Instrument Auditor / Venue Coordinator / Social + AV Media / Web Master / etc

Very important roles and work that members do in the course of a year, and are elective but can be shared. New roles can be made as needed for things members want to do

The committee usually meets regularly during the year to work through things as needed (and via email/chat).

Nominations and Voting :
To nominate (yourself or others) send names to the current secretary - Claire Lariosa via Messanger or email committee@raiodesol.org so that she can get in contact with you directly to collect your nominations.

These are due the day prior to the meeting as a way to finalise the list and enable anyone unable to make the AGM due to social distancing to vote. During the meeting, we'll get the nominations seconded to make it official.

The list will be circulated prior to the meeting via email. Anyone needing to vote remotely needs to submit votes to Claire prior to the AGM.
In person votes will be done in secret, written on a bit of paper and thrown into a drum bag then counted in front of everyone.

Once we sort out the official things we need to we'll be having dinner. + drinks. Once the votes are in, we celebrate and chat about what we want to do in 2021 as members of the Raio De Sol Community Samba Band!
