The Institutional Self-Study--
The Self-Study process involves our data collection & analysis and action plan development as related to CNUCOM's adherence to guidelines for accreditation set by the LCME. These guidelines are divided into "Standards", each of which includes several specific "Elements" focused on particular aspects of the MD program. This quarter we highlight three more Standards...
Standard 9: Teaching, Supervision, Assessment and Student & Patient Safety, Standard 10: Medical Student Selection, Assignment and Progress, and
Standard 11: Medical Student Academic Support, Career Advising and Educational Records
Standard 10 outlines the LCME's expectations with regard to admitted and visiting students, including the role of faculty in the admissions process. The Subcommittee is led by Dr. ForShing Lui and Anji Khan, and focuses on nine (9) elements.
GO! Standard 11, which has six (6) elements, examines the College's processes designed to support student success and transition from busy medical student to competent physician. The Standard 11 Subcommittee is led by Dr. Tania Arana.
