Happy December!

How are you doing? We ask that so often but this year we really mean it more than ever, and we hope you know that we hear you when you tell us how you're doing, when you tell us what you need.
We are busy making a few things easier to find. For example, we found a new home for all the adult graphic novels to live together; we're continually trying to make mental health resources accessible, and we're creating a Christmastime themed book and movie display that's all about just settling in on the couch with a cozy (or creepy) holiday story.

We are thrilled to be hosting art by fifteen different Bartram-inspired artists. Last month we learned that we CAN do delightful opening receptions without refreshments and with social distancing. Please come take a look for yourself; call to make an appointment so we can make sure the Meeting Room, where some of the art is displayed, will be available when you'd like to visit.

Because we don't want you to feel awkward trying to view art while something else is happening in the room, such as:

Try a new challenge- play music while wearing a mask! Bring your musical instrument and/or your voice, and come jam with Jim Hite and Bill Jackson, or just come out to enjoy listening to the music.

Please call the library at 828-524-3600 to reserve a seat; space is limited and masks covering nose and mouth are required to be worn at all times.

The library will host an indoor yoga class that is free to the public. Library classes are perfect for newer yogi's and those looking to safely gather for an indoor practice.

The Vagabonds are back! They’ll be playing old country, oldies, old pop and some gospel. Wild Bill Jackson plays the harmonica and sings, but not at the same time. Jim Hite plays guitar flat pick, finger pick, rhythm, and vocals.
