Rutgers Newark Distinguished Professor Juan Cartagena

The President and General Counsel of Latino Justice PRLDEF in New York City and well known civil rights attorney Juan Cartagena, will join Rutgers Law School in Newark this spring as the Peter Rodino Distinguished Visiting Professor.
The RU-N SPAA Research Brief "Pandemic Planning in the U.S.: An Examination of COVID-19 Data" addresses two questions surrounding COVID-19 deaths in the U.S.: First, are COVID-19 deaths spread equally across different states and regions of the United States? Second, are African Americans more likely to die from COVID-19 than other racial groups? This research was authored by RU-N SPAA Dean Charles E. Menifield.

The Anchor Institutions Task Force (AITF) has been capturing and highlighting the engagement of anchor institutions in the current context, serving as a forum for ongoing learning exchange among representatives of anchor institutions, and developing a policy strategy to increase support for the vital role that anchor institutions play in transforming communities. AITF developed a strategic plan inspired by potential contributions anchor institutions can bring going forward: Anchor Institutions Task Force Strategic Plan Summer 2020 through Spring 2023.

The RU-N-NJIT Theatre Program proudly presents
"THE DIRECTORS' PROJECT 2020". This year the student directors from this semester's Directing class will be showcasing their work as digital production "zoom" plays online. The plays will be available online for viewing at http://theatre.njit.edu starting at 7 pm on Wednesday, December 2 until the end of Sunday, December 6. The plays are free to stream during that period.
