Third Anniversary for DVille Press!
Break out the champagne: this November we are celebrating our third year in business, having begun in the fall of 2017 with the new children's book Cardy The Cardinal Finds A Home In Donaldsonville, illustrated by renown folk artist Alvin Batiste. Soon to follow in 2018 were reprints of Mary Gehman's classics Women and New Orleans and The Free People of Color of New Orleans; and Angela Carll's Where Writers Wrote in New Orleans. From there in 2019 we branched out to include reprints of Bob Crowley's Edwin & I: The Life and Times of Edwin Edwards as Told by His Conscience; Norman German's novel Savage Wisdom and his original novel Cripple Bayou Two-Step.
Our third year saw German's novel No Other World reprinted and the second edition of Arthur Pfister's Jazz Stories, plus the original edition of Eddie Tebbe's short stories, poems and song lyrics in Sir Bone Funk. Ten books in three years --it's been quite a journey! More good titles are lining up for 2021, and as always we remain committed to publishing, reprinting and promoting Louisiana authors and Louisiana topics. Thanks to all our fine authors and the folks who buy our books. Here's a toast to leaving COVID behind and forging ahead into a new literary year!

Tebbe Gifted Sir Bone Funk
T-Shirt and New Glasses
Eddie Tebbe, author of the inspiring book Sir Bone Funk: Living Life in the Key of Triumph about how he has used New Orleans music to cope with two severe disabilities -- cerebral palsy and Huntington's, has the all-time best fan club!
Recently a friend made up a T-shirt for him with the book's cover on front and title on back. He also reports on the detail of getting a pair of eye glasses that he can put on himself, a big deal, since he's never been able to do that.
We're waiting, Eddie, for that t-shirt to become available in several sizes for us all.

With Christmas coming up fast, in this most unusual year, we want to remind all our friends and supporters that books make great gifts, and books by local authors about our city and state make even better gifts. We have worked hard all year to bring you a variety of topics and writers from Louisiana. Please visit our website at www.dvillepress.com to see a synopsis of each book, prices and how to order via DVille Press. If you want to pick up a copy in person in the New Orleans area, all of our titles are available on the shelves of Barnes & Noble on Veterans Blvd. in Metairie or can be ordered via your favorite independent bookstore. You can also order them through Amazon or download most of them on Kindle. Whatever way you choose, our authors thank you and appreciate your thinking of them for your gift list.
