In our last Belong Circle, we shared stories of the struggles so many families are facing during COVID due to lost jobs and increasing rent debt. California’s moratorium on evictions is due to expire at the end of January, and unless we act, tens of thousands in San Mateo and San Francisco counties are likely to lose their homes.
At the Belong Circle this Thursday on December 3, we’ll talk about our plans for meeting with state officials about extending the rent moratorium, and and how Faith in Action is organizing to confront this emergency. Please join us for discussion and training!
And if you haven’t yet done the “homework” of conversations with five of your neighbors to find out how they are dealing with the impact of COVID, make the calls and bring your reports to share.
