Hawaii Annual Code Challenge

NIC Hawaii was proud to be a sponsor this year at the 2020 virtual edition of the Hawaii Annual Code Challenge. With more than 140 in attendance during the final competition, OverEasi, a team from the University of Hawaii, took home the top prize of $4,000.

OverEasi's solution was an answer to the challenge we created, called COVID-19 Chatbot, which asked participants to design and deliver a chatbot that could quickly share up-to-date information and encourage desired healthy behaviors.
Hawaii Virtual Digital Government Summit

In December, we sponsored the Hawaii Virtual Digital Government Summit and our very own Janet Pick served as a session panelist and shared ways to remove friction and speed up progress in creating state-of-the-art government experiences.
A New Look for HCE

In September, NIC Hawaii and the State Procurement Office launched the redesigned Hawaii Compliance Express. The new HCE presents a responsive design that is mobile-friendly and adjusts to various screen sizes. The redesigned digital tool also provides improved usability.
