REMINDER! Pieces due to Council by 10pm on Dec 2, 2020! Let's do this!

Note: If you've already submitted your pieces to Council, no need to read on. This is a reminder of the due date and the online submission steps. Thank you!

Lots of information below. Email me with any questions!

Student Entry Form Update
Here's a guide to help you fill out the top portion of the entry form. This is for you to fill out, not the students and parents.
  • Local PTA - This is the name of your PTA
  • Local PTA ID – This is your National PTA ID number. You can find your number here, or email me.
  • Council PTA – Northshore
  • District PTA – NA you can leave this blank
  • Region PTA – 6
  • State PTA – 6.10.XX (xx is your number - ask your president or send me email)
  • Member Dues/Insurance Paid Date and Bylaws Approval Date – A safe bet is just October 2020 for all three of theseThe goal of these questions is to ensure your PTA is in good standing.
IMPORTANT NOTE!
Signatures:
It is OK for students and parents to type their name on the entry form signature lines this year. We must have both on the form. If you receive a form without a parent signature, please try to get it or contact me.

Online Submissions!
A step by step guide.
You have promoted Reflections and shared your due date with your school community. Some of you may even be receiving artwork! Yay!

So now what? Please follow these steps and, as always, contact me if you have questions.
  1. Make sure you have registered your Local PTA Reflections Program with the National PTA.
  2. Arrange for blind judging as necessary. Click here to read more on judging Reflections.
  3. NEW for 2020! Local Reflections Chairs (that's you!) do not need to enter anything into the National PTA student portal. This is a HUGE win! Rejoice!
  4. Make sure you have signed (or typed) signature lines on the entry forms for each piece of art submitted
  5. Take any necessary digital photos of visual arts pieces or work with families to get photos. Also check the rules and make sure the pieces are compliant.
  6. Time to submit up to 20 pieces (+up to 6 special artist pieces) to Council.
    • You should have received your dedicated folder for submitting to Council. It was sent to Reflections Chairs and Presidents.
    • I encourage you to test your folder now so we have time to solve any issues you may encounter.
    • If you have not received email about the dedicated Dropbox folder for your PTA submissions please email me right away. Reflections@northshorecouncilptsa.org
  7. Each PTA has its own Dropbox folder for submission to Council. Inside your folder you will see:
    • Directions - Please read this document before submitting.
    • A spreadsheet - requesting some basic information that I will need to coordinate judging as well as advance pieces on to WSPTA. All of the information you need should be on the entry forms you receive.
  8. Upload/copy/drag student art piece and Entry Form to the Dropbox Folder. You should be submitting two files per student entry.
  9. Please rename the files to match this format: Student First Name and Last Name - Arts Category - Form or Artwork. This will help us make sure the hundreds of pieces of art we receive can be matched to an entry form.
    • Example 1: Rachel Northquist Literature Form
    • Example 2: Rachel Northquist Literature Artwork
  10. When you have added all of the artwork and entry forms to your Dropbox, please email me and let me know you are done and how many pieces you are submitting. I will then go out and check your Dropbox to make sure we have matching information. I will reply with confirmation.
  11. On Dec 2 at 10p I will start the process of restricting access to the Dropboxes. I will need to start working right away on sending the artwork for Council level judging. We will not be able to accept late artwork.
  12. Feel free to submit your artwork early! You have immediate access to your folders.

Thank you for all you do!
