Imagining Disability Justice

Special content from 3CR for International Day of People with a Disability

International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is a United Nations observed day celebrated internationally on 3 December each year. It aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability and celebrate their achievements and contributions.

The theme for 2020 is “Building Back Better: toward a disability-inclusive, accessible and sustainable post COVID-19 World”

The annual theme provides an overarching focus on how society can strive for inclusivity through the removal of physical, technological and attitudinal barriers for people with disability.

As always, it's a joy to collaborate and share content from producers at 3CR for Disability Day this year. We have four pieces of content available for download that have been put together for 3CR's Disability Day event, 'Imagining Disability Justice' which is a 12-hour radio broadcast event running from 7am - 7pm on Thursday 3 December. We thank them wholeheartedly for sharing this content with us, and respectively all of you, to empower and lift the voices of people living with disabilities in your communities - and we both hope you and enjoy and utilise this content to help start conversations in your communities about living with a disability.
