Workshop Journal
It's been festive and cozy in the workshop. We're staying at home full-time and lighting the fire in the woodstove daily. The woodstove performs three functions for us on the Oregon Coast: it heats, dehumidifies, and eats our woodworking scraps. (Not to mention how cheerful it is!) The dehumidifying part is the most important: during the winter our damp coastal rainforest air can reach 100% humidity daily and never falls below 85%, which can rust our tools within days.

True story: we geek out during the busy holiday season. Even though we work alone, we wear holiday sweaters and hats, like Geoff's new set pictured above, and we turn on classic Christmas music playlists to get us in the spirit.

We can't thank you enough for entrusting us with your gifts to friends and family. It means the world to us, and we're paying extra care and attention to all the wrappings to make it special for them.

Read on for the latest news from Walnut.

Art Poster Returns

Back on our site, this 18" x 24" poster is a digital print of an actual photograph taken by Jim Golden of the Walnut Studiolo collection in 2012. To us, this image represents the evolution of the modern small business: centered on the bicycle that started everything.
