Now, more than ever, it is important for school staff to have the opportunity to reflect on their practice, come together with colleagues from across the region, collaborate and share ideas.
Delegate feedback from virtual SBM conference 2020:
"I thought it was a fantastic virtual conference, it was very well organised and I found all of the sessions incredibly useful and informative. This was one of the first conferences/meetings I enjoyed speaking out and sharing my own opinions."
Delegate feedback from virtual Summit 2020:
"This was a much needed way to be outward looking in the middle of this "slow hurricane!" The format allowed my whole SLT to engage and also meant that issues which arose during the day in school could also be handled (rather than coming back to school to a desk full of messages!). Having the sessions recorded meant that I could listen rather than trying to take notes and can go back and re-watch sessions or use them with staff as things arise"
Check out what's coming up from Schools North East and partners in the new calendar year!

“I am now able to lead change assertively, and respond to challenge with resilience and reflective practice”
National Professional Qualifications develop management in schools through training from current North East school leaders, and a community of peers with whom they can share challenges and best practice. NPQs offer support as participants plan and implement impactful projects in school. If you or one of your colleagues could benefit from our programmes for Middle Leaders, Senior Leaders or Headteachers, then you can find more details via our site here.
January will be the last chance to complete an NPQ with us in their current format. NPQs are changing from next autumn and this will be our last intake with the current programmes. Future NPQs will no longer include NPQML or assessments with a school project.
Check out our blog post about the impact of NPQs on participants’ performance and career progression.
