The next step
This week our Dutch partners Willem and Esther van de Bruinhorst along with Goiniri translator Dominic Pusai are on a "walkabout" to six villages. Their goal is to make people there aware that they could send people to an Oral Bible Storying workshop, hopefully next year.
That could be the first step towards joining the translation project and eventually translating the Bible into their languages. (These days it is common strategy to train people to memorize and tell Bible stories in their own languages before helping them to begin direct translation.)
Please pray for Willem, Esther and Dominic and for the people they meet in the villages of Sera, Mori, Mafoka, Sumo, Kaiye, and Amsuku.
Bonnie and I are extremely blessed to be part of a team that includes younger members like Willem & Esther and Dominic who can go on walkabouts and expand the work to new languages while we help the translators from here.
Thank you for being part of all the Lord is doing to bring his Word to people most of the world doesn't care about and doesn't even know about.
