BTWC 2020 Year-End Close Out
View this email in your browser
Dear Coalition Friends,

It has been an unprecedented and unconventional year. While we may be ready to say goodbye to 2020, before we do, it is important to take a moment to acknowledge those who, through their support, enabled us to continue our mission to protect and restore the health of the Big Thompson watershed for all those who are connected to it. Without our donors, partners, supporters, communities, and friends, BTWC would have had a very different year.

We thank you.

However, our work is not done. As we move into a new year, BTWC needs your continued support. When you support BTWC, you also support the lands and the people of the Big Thompson watershed. Our work in the coming year will help restore private and public lands affected by the devastating wildfire season, reduce risks of future wildfires through forest management projects, connect communities with additional aid and support services, build a community-based blueprint for the long-term health of our river system through Loveland, and, more than anything, continue to build multi-objective collaborative partnerships for the future.

The challenges of the year have affected us all, and we recognize funds may be scarce, but your gift to the Big T will help maintain our work to enhance watershed, forest, and community health and resilience for a brighter, Big T Future.

If there is a silver-lining to 2020, it is in the strength demonstrated by so many who saw a need and dedicated their time, money, resources, or simply their empathy to others. It is this strength that BTWC aims to take with us into 2021, but just as in 2020, we can’t do it alone.

Your friends in the watershed,

Finally, before we close out 2020 and look to a new year,
BTWC wants to express our deepest gratitude and thanks to the thousands of firefighters, police officers, sheriff’s deputies, emergency managers, and community leaders who worked tirelessly to fight the Cameron Peak and East Troublesome Fires and protect lives, homes, and our cherished watershed.

And, as of TODAY, the Cameron Peak Fire is 100% contained!
