The end of the semester is near! Thank you for the energy you devote to your work as a student organization leader or advisor.

This final newsletter of 2020 contains important finance information, policy reminders, announcements, and resources.

As we wrap up 2020, we encourage you to take time to reflect on the highlights and challenges of student org leadership this fall. What are you proud of? What can you learn from? Where might you need support moving forward?

Dec 7:
Final Date for Fall Finance Allocation Requests 
Submit fall finance allocation requests via the link(s) below by 
Monday (12/7) at 12 pm CST 

This is funding beyond your $100 fall Flexi Fund!
FAC funding left for allocation requests for both fall and the spring semester:
  • Capital: $71,458.37
  • Operating/Event: $34,725.27
Dec 15:
Final Date for Fall Reimbursements & Pcard requests

The last day of classes (12/15) is the deadline to request a purchase and submit all reimbursement requests (including check requests).

Requests for reimbursement will not be accepted past the deadline.
How I do complete a reimbursement?
  • Pay for the expense with your personal funds 
  • Keep the receipt(s)
  • Complete the reimbursement form 
  • Email the completed reimbursement form + picture of your receipt(s) to OSLE 
How do I submit a Purchase Card (P-Card) request?  
  • For this option, OSLE will make the purchase for you through online vendors!
  • Leaders with Presence admin access can complete a PCard purchase request form on Presence
(Also!) Dec 15:
Final Date for Events & Programs
The last day of classes (12/15) is also the last day student orgs are permitted to host a program or event.

All events should be virtual due to health and safety guidance.

MCSG Approves $100 Spring "Flexi Fund" for each Org
Just like fall 2020, orgs are entitled to spend $100 of "Flexi Funds" during the Spring 2021 term.

Flexi Funds can be used for any org-related expenses (including expenses for org members only) as long as they adhere to the MCSG bylaws and college policy.

All spending and reimbursement processes will be migrated to Presence for the spring term. This will be the new virtual location where you can request additional funding, track org expenses, and upload receipts. Training details to come!
Presence Finance Processes to Launch Spring 2021
The FAC will roll out training materials for Presence finance processes at the start of the Spring semester to students who have been designated as finance admins.

Looking for an alternative to a Zoom call for an upcoming event?

OSLE recently purchased a Zoom webinar license and are building a reservation process in Presence.

This option may be especially useful for performance orgs and those hosting panel discussions! Learn what makes a webinar different.
