Dear subscriber,

Although this year has been challenging for all, we would like you to end it with awesome news from our part. In this newsletter you'll learn about our completed project for 2020 and about an upcoming one for next year. We hope you'll enjoy it.
ROBA School, Koforidua, Ghana.
Check it out!
The great news: our project at River of Blessing Academy (ROBA) In Koforidua, Ghana is completed!!! We could not be more grateful and proud! Thanks to all who took part in this two-year process.

Our goal was expanding the learning facilities at the ROBA Academy by adding a building complex to provide the children with better learning conditions. We have built six classes, and each classroom is expected to hold about 20-25 pupils, bringing the accommodation capacity to a total of 150 kids. In addition, we have built a toilet facility composed of four sinks and six toilets.

To make the construction project as simple and cost-effective as possible we combined commonly used materials and building techniques while also experimenting with alternative and available materials such as wood, and Compressed Earth Blocks.

We would like to thank every single person who was involved in this project, especially our local partner organization (The River of Blessing Foundation) and our local contractor (AL Constructs Logistics & Solutions Ltd).
Win-Win
The good news: like the past two years we did our annual Charity Raffle and sold a bunch of tickets so we want to thank you all for your help and contributions! Drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrum-roll please. The winners were.

We would like to give a huge shoutout to Max Milligan Photography for donating the first prize: a signed copy of his stunning photography book “Ghana: A Portrait”. And to Didi Pa Berlin for donating the second prize: a delicious culinary trip to Ghana in their restaurant in Berlin, with two jollof rice meals (vegan or chicken).
2021 See you in Masaka
The even better news: we are thrilled to announce our upcoming project in Masaka, Uganda. We are going to partner up with Community Care Foundation- Uganda , a local organisation that is improving the lives of young people through education, engagement and empowerment.

Since there is no secondary school in the sub-county of Masaka, children lack local access to secondary level education. Thus, they have to travel to another area to access it, this most parents cannot afford. We are planning on building during an initial phase, three classrooms (for up to 50 pupils each) in addition to Water and Sanitation Facilities
