2020...what a year! In spite of all the challenges, we are simply overwhelmed with gratitude and humbled by all that has been accomplished. The outpouring of support we have received this year has been unbelievable and it has allowed us to continue our work helping underserved communities create safe and inclusive public skateparks for youth.

This year many skatepark projects were temporarily put on hold in the wake of the pandemic. And while plans had to change, the need did not, and everyone, from our generous supporters and staff, to the many communities working towards getting new skateparks built, banded together to push forward and persevere. New grants have been awarded, kids have worked tirelessly within their cities, countless virtual meetings have transpired, ground has been broken, and communities have seen their hard work and dedication pay off with new skateparks opening across the country.

If this year has shown us anything, it’s that access to free, outdoor, public recreational spaces for youth is critical and we need to continue prioritizing this very important work. We are truly proud to be a part of all of these amazing skatepark projects and we are grateful for the support and contributions of so many that have made these parks a reality!
