Hello 2021

"The whole world is a very narrow bridge and the most important part is not to be afraid "
גשר צר מאוד והעיקר לא לפחד כלל כל העולם כולו
- Rav Nachman of Breslov

So many of us were happy to say good bye to 2020 and whole-heartedly welcome 2021.  The start of a new year is often a time of reflection and resolution and a time of promise and hope.  That is certainly true of the start of this year.  We have vaccines which promise to bring an end to a pandemic and a restart of our economy and educational systems.  But, we cannot start 2021 with the mere passive hope for a return to pre-pandemic times.  Our hopes have to be combined with action to ensure that all members of our community safely and soundly emerge form the pandemic and are able to more equitably share and participate in our new normal.  This is Tikkun Ha-Ir’s commitment to build a more just Milwaukee, and to that end we offer many opportunities to learn and assist our community during these times.   Read below for more information.

Sincerely,

Paula Lorant, THI Board President
