The Fourth Sunday of Advent

Sunday's Bible Reading comes from Luke 1:26-38. This is the story of the Angel Gabriel announcing Mary's pregnancy. Notice at least two things. Mary asks how this will be since I am a virgin? Then she continues, “Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word.” There is so much uncertainty and hope to unpack here.

Macote Ambrosio's Family
Aissa and the boys have arrived in Salt Lake City and are living with the VanMilligens.
Macote will remain in Guinea Bissau through January to await arrival of a truck that was shipped from the United States.

Prayers

Kent Sprik continues treatment for his cancer. We pray for strength and healing.
We are thankful that Maurice Veurink's eye is improving. Please pray for full healing.
Macote, Aissa and the boys as they navigate the challenges of coming to the United States.
People who have been exposed to or infected by the COVID-19 virus.
Please pray for all those who are shut-in because of the pandemic.

COVID-19 has affected our church in many ways. One of those is that we have missed the special offerings for important causes. We know that these causes are important to you and that you might want to contribute to them before the end of the year.
To that end we are posting the list of special offerings for 2020 on the church website. Many of the causes have links for more information and ways for you to give directly.
This list will remain available through the season of Advent.
