How are you doing?
After helping to shovel our driveway, I'm on a bit of a 'high' unrelated to the Big Snow. Why? Yesterday, my hats were featured on the Instagram account of FAN! FAN, short for Fiber Art Now is a quarterly magazine devoted to contemporary textile art. Yesterday's share was part of their Member Spotlight. It was an exciting opportunity to share my work with an appreciative audience.

Here are three Red Curlicue Hats awaiting finishing details. I need to stiffen the curls and sew in the grosgrain bands. Then, sew in the tags, and voila - all done! The one on my vintage wooden block is a Custom Order. Behind the hats, you can see Kiwi the Cat inspecting the snow!
Interestingly, The Curlicue Hats have proved quite popular - especially the red ones. Red is the New Black, as they say. Much of this popularity has been due to Advanced Style Icon, Diana Gabriel's generous sharing her hat on Instagram. Thank you, Diana!!
