There's only a week until Christmas and the City has certainly been buzzing with the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping, catch ups and gift giving.

QR Codes for all businesses
The Victorian Government QR Code Service is free for all Victorian businesses and venues. These records help contact tracers in the event a positive case of coronavirus (COVID-19) is identified.
Business Improvement District (BID) micro-grants now open for application
Applications for Business Improvement District (BID) Grants are now open.
Stream 2 of the BID grant program supports individual business owners and groups of businesses by awarding micro-grants of up to $1,500 for innovative new business development activities within the City of Maribyrnong.
The BID grant program is highly competitive and all applicants should read the guidelines and have a preliminary discussion with a Council Officer regarding their proposed project.

Start, Now Business Accelerator Program- Last chance to apply
Are you a founder located in Victoria, with an idea ready to test and validate? This program may be for you!
This project will be a network of Pre-Accelerators delivered in partnership with local councils, with a focus on supporting Startup Entrepreneurs of Melbourne.
The Program will accelerate Participants through the process of finding a business idea and then developing and scaling that idea into sustainable model.
Applications close on 23 December for an early 2021 commencement of the Pre-Accelerator.
Government support to engage new trainee or apprentice
To assist with the recovery from the impact of COVID-19, the Australian Government is providing support to all employers who engage a new Australian Trainee or Apprentice.
The $1.2 billion Boosting Apprenticeship Commencements wage subsidy will support businesses and group training organisations to take on new apprentices and trainees, to build a pipeline of skilled workers to support sustained economic recovery.
