This was a much better week than before. Work is being intense but really interesting, and I spent some good time with a new starter in my team who's being pretty helpful in setting the team's work up while we recruit more members and strategise a little about what the next 2-3 years should be like (of course, bar the unexpected... after 2 years in the civil service managing to keep heads down during a number of polite disruptions by multiple Brexit deadlines, airlines collapsing, general elections, ministerial reshuffle, and global pandemics, I'm kinda ready to deal with things thrown at me if it needs be :D) 

As promised, I decided to re-record my lecture about data in public communication and make it suitable for a podcast, by removing references to anything visual or the slides. Last weekend I managed to record the first part, which you can find on my podcast, available on multiple platforms including Spotify, Pocket Casts, and other aggregators (or head to Anchor to find links).
The second part should follow next weekend.
