Does Poetry Frighten You?
Or Maybe You Love It?
Join Professor Jeffrey Runyon, M.A., M.F.A.
for a Fun Frolic with Poetry This Spring!

Jeff says:
"This is a 'general transfer,' 200-level, 3-credit class, fully online (with optional live sessions that I will host), and I will be taking folks on a historical journey through the English language and the collective wisdom of past poets. I will be emphasizing the technical aspects of poetry (aka prosody), and students will learn 8 metrical forms and 8 stanza forms by the end.  It is all low-stakes exercises, history, and practice with meter and form . . . it is a great training for anyone who wants to better understand how poetry has evolved . . . It is a class based around playing with poetry, open to all levels."

Having taken Jeff's creative writing class when I lived in Leadville, I can attest to his enthusiasm and subject matter mastery. He made every class fun and worthwhile, and his feedback was always positively constructive!
