2020 has been a year like no other with so many ups and downs, lockdowns and reopenings. One thing is for sure, St. Finians GAA club players, mentors, parents, members and supporters can be very proud of their accomplishments this year.
St. Finians GAA Club executive would like to thank everyone involved in making 2020 a year to remember for so many good things and we wish everyone a very happy and safe Christmas and hope to see you all in 2021.

27th September 2020 is a day to remember for St. Finians.
Our Adult Junior 4 team faced St. Judes in River Valley for the Junior 4 All County Football Championship final. A terrific match that was streamed live on Facebook ended in a historic win for St. Finians 0-18 to 0-14.

Earlier the morning of 27th September 2020, our Adult Camogie Team took on Lucan Sarsfields in River Valley for the Camogie Junior 3 Shield final. A great match and a fantastic performance all round ended in a victory for St. Finians 6-12 4-8.

Our Club Lotto has an amazing jackpot of 5400 Euro on Monday 28th Dec!
On top of which we have 4, 20 euro lucky-dip prizes to hand out each week.
We have just moved our lotto to ClubZap. This new platform will make it much easier to take part in our Club Lotto.

St. Finians showed its fantastic spirit during the lockdown with members volunteering to be part of the Community Call initiate to reach out and support the elderly and vulnerable in our parish. Working closely with our local SuperValu to deliver groceries and other vital services, these volunteers really stepped up to the mark.
Well done all.

And our members reached out and supported many a great cause this year including Eoin OConnor helping run the Annual Christmas Gift Bag Appeal for Feed Our Homeless and Fergus O'Neill and Mark Boyd who completed the Wicklow Hospice Mountain Marathon Hike in aid of the Wicklow Hospice Foundation.

St. Finians are delighted to be chosen as one of 45 clubs across the country to take part in a new pilot 'Green Clubs' programme by the GAA. The Green Clubs Programme involves the LGFA and Camogie Associations, local authority Climate Action Regional Offices (CAROs), with additional support from expert agencies that reflect the five thematic focus areas of the programme, namely: Energy; Waste; Biodiversity; Water; and Travel & Transport. The programme aims to guide clubs on their journey to becoming more sustainable by using fewer resources such as energy and water, generating less waste and emissions and save money along the way.
Fingal County Council has also installed a Bottle Refill Station just inside the entrance to River Valley park outside our clubhouse. This is a very welcome facility and I am sure St. Finians will get a great deal of use from it. Fingal County Council has also installed bike racks near the all-weather pitch in River Valley park which will be a great bonus to those who cycle to training and matches and hopefully encourage others to do so.
