Hi <<First Name>>

2020 has undoubtedly been a challenging year for our Young Westminster community and across the globe. It's been a year that has taken many of us by surprise - forcing flexibility, innovation and fundamental shifts to how we work. Throughout the year I have been constantly reminded of the power of youth organisations to provide life changing support for not only Westminster's young people, but their families and our wider communities. I hope that as the year draws to a close you are able to reflect on the successes of 2020 as well as the challenges (as well as having a very well earned rest over the festive period!).

It's been brilliant to end such a year with the first distribution of devices as part of our
Digital Futures project. In partnership with Westminster City Council we have purchased 750 devices in Phase 1 of the project; allocating 312 devices to 18 Westminster Schools and Care Leavers. The remaining devices will reach young people in the new year. Where needed young people & families will also receive broadband connectivity. Please get in touch with one of the YWF team if you'd like to discuss further.

We have much to look forward to in 2021, including the distribution of our most recent Brighter Futures Fund in early January, an exciting campaign to launch our Our City site to young people and a programme of workforce development for Westminster's youth workers. We'll share all the details in the new year.

From all the team at Young Westminster, we wish you a very relaxing Christmas and positive New Year.

Take care,

Phil

FIND OUT MORE ABOUT WESTMINSTER'S WARDS
Following your feedback in our annual member's survey that you would like support in accessing ward data, we will use this section of our newsletter to shine a light on Westminster's ward profiles. We can also help broker advice from Westminster City Council Evaluation Team, please contact info@ywfoundation.com to access this.

Each month we'll feature the ward that's home to our 'member of the month'. This month it's Churchill Ward home to the Pimlico Million.

Ward profiles have been produced to provide an overview of the latest information across a range of different subject areas. The latest update for the ward profiles in 2018 is based on recent data from Westminster services, partner and external data sources, the 2017 City Survey, as well as the 2011 Census to offer a rounded view of local communities. You can access all ward information
here.
