It's time to slow down and get a grip!

The clock ticks down to the planned January 6 launch of my Hilda & Richie Kickstarter.  As it stands, we are behind schedule.  My plan was to submit the finished Kickstarter for approval by Tuesday December 15.

I have not done this.

No, it is not because I'm calling it off.  What happened was that assembling the video took much longer than expected.  But that is not something to neglect; it is suicide to not have a Kickstarter video.

The new plan is to submit it by the week of New Year's; this should give me plenty of time to continue promotion, finalize the text and send it for approval (which shouldn't take long).

So why am I slowing down?

The Hilda & Richie Kickstarter has A LOT riding on it.  This must succeed as this will give me the capacity to raise bigger amounts of money (the US$2000 to 5000 range) so I can fund more books.  As you know, a brand new edition of Sunnyville Stories is also planned for 2021.  If Hilda & Richie doesn't fund, this will set back Sunnyville Stories.  There is also the planned book of Poison Ivy Gulch plus more Hilda & Richie books.  (At the time of this writing, a second book is already being scripted!)

I can do what is easy or what is right.  I can do a rush job and simply submit any old thing for approval.  Or I can slow down and do it right - I can make sure the Kickstarter text copy is strong, the images of the book are eye-catching and the strategy is properly laid out.

Once more, I'm doing what is right and taking my time.  This will also prepare me for the planned Sunnyville reprint.

That's all for now.  Get ready for Hilda & Richie, hitting Kickstarter on Jan. 6, 2021!
