Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all. This year we are thankful for our residents who have persevered through COVID. We are also very thankful for the organizations that helped some of our residents get through hard times. Lastly, we want to thank everyone at Excel and our partners. With your efforts families, seniors, disabled persons, and military veterans can be proud to have a place to call home this holiday season.

Excel Holiday Door Decorating Contest
The 2020 Christmas Door Decorating Contest was a little different this year, with some people working from home. But that didn't stop people from decorating a door. Can you guess who won this year's competition?
Excel Employee Spotlight - Drew Ebert
Meet Drew Ebert, recruited by Excel Development Group's leadership for his diverse consulting background. Drew brings a variety of project management experience from public and private sectors. He is the first member of Excel's development associate program where he is learning to implement all aspects of affordable housing real estate. He is a former martial arts instructor, loves seafood, and hopes to climb more mountains. If he could meet any person dead or alive, he would love to meet Nicola Tesla and talk to him about all his extraordinary ideas. He looks forward to making affordable housing have a seat at the table when it comes to community development and is excited to start developing stronger and healthier communities.

Michele - Cypress Pointe II Resident in Omaha, NE (affordable housing)
Cypress Pointe II is made up of 80 apartments, a community room, gym, courtyard, and has elevators. Also, every resident gets their own storage unit that's on-site. Cypress Pointe II offers affordable, clean, safe housing for low to moderate-income seniors (55+). Due to the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Program the apartments are able to stay affordable. Cypress Pointe II is located at 6025 Hartman Ave, Omaha, NE 68104.
