As we close out 2020, the Alaska REALTORS® wants to wish its members, affiliates and community leaders a safe and memorable holiday season. Who We R

Paddy Coan is a lifelong Alaskan born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. She is currently the Brokerage Manager for Keller Williams Realty Alaska Group. She originally started in the business in 1982 and has been a real estate trainer, a branch manager and a successful licensee as well. Paddy is proud to say that her mother, Barbara Block, recently retired after 41 years in real estate as a Realtor Emeritus. Her sister Teresa Block is also in the business. Most important to Paddy are her family members, husband Vince, children: John, Katie and Kristen and her grandson Canyon. Paddy has been happy to serve as past President of the Valley Board of Realtors and the Alaska Realtors. She has been named the Realtor of the Year for the Valley Board of Realtors and the Alaska Realtors and now is super excited to be recognized again for her work for the Valley Board of Realtors as the 2020 Realtor of the Year.

Paddy serves currently as the Realtor Party Member Involvement committee member from Alaska, she serves as an elected National Association of Realtors Director and as such serves on the NAR Board of Directors. She serves as one of the representatives from Alaska to Region 12 of NAR and loves to participate in all things RPAC.

THE KBR ROTY Committee presented this beautiful plaque to me at the end of our General Meeting. Needless to say, I was very surprised, and greatly honored.

My journey in RE began in 1977 when I moved from Anchorage to Homer and found a position as an Office Manager at Homer Land Office. Within the next year I was a Licensee, and soon I'm celebrating year 42!

I never dreamed I would be a President of a Board, much less Realtor of the Year. In 2020 there have been a lot of firsts for us all. A year we will not soon forget. I'm so proud to be a Broker in this awesome city at the end of the road, Homer, Alaska! Thanks for this wonderful recognition.

The 2021 Realtor of the Year for the Kenai Peninsula Association of REALTORS is Stacie Krause. Stacie is the Broker of Jack White Real Estate in Soldotna. She has been the KPAR Education and Professional Standards Chair for many years and is amazing!

Erin Eker is a lifelong Alaskan raised in Anchorage, Alaska. She is currently the Broker for Ski to Sea Properties LLC in Girdwood, AK and has been living in Girdwood for over 20 years. She originally started in the business in 2001. Her family, daughter Leah and son Jesse, were raised in Girdwood and are the most important part of her life. She has been actively involved in her community by volunteering on a variety of boards and committees locally. She has also served on the Alaska CRS/RRC board and is a current board member of the Alaska MLS board. Erin serves currently on the National Association of REALTORS® Housing Opportunity Committee and is a major investor in RPAC.

It was an amazing honor for her to be recognized as the REALTOR® of the year for 2020 as past president for the Anchorage Board of REALTORS®. She continues to be involved in the amazing REALTOR® community and feels fortunate for the people that it has brought into her life. She would encourage anyone to get involved on a local, state or national level.

2020 is one of the years where many would like to forget, however 2020 also brought forward remarkable learning opportunities, especially for those in leadership. 2020 was a year to find out what you are made of. Without hesitation, the Greater Fairbanks Board of Realtors recognizes Bobby Desrochers, their 2020 President as their Realtor of the Year.

Bobby is the type of leader who takes adversity and turns it into a positive. With his energy, thoughtfulness and leadership he worked hard with the board to increase the GFBR membership, engage the community in many areas, and contributed on the Alaska REALTORS® board as member and RPAC Trustee. Bobby inspires those around him to do better and to be better. His six years in real estate will continue to add value to the real estate industry, locally, statewide and on a national platform. What he has found in his career, is the more you know, the more you want to be involved. Congratulations Bobby on a job well done.
