Westbourne Community Trust

Dear Member

The Trust held its first Annual General Meeting on Thursday 3rd December 2020.  Normally we would like to hold this important meeting in a local meeting hall and have the opportunity to meet our members face to face but of course this was not possible due to the Coronavirus.  The meeting therefore took place on Zoom. Although it is a less satisfactory way of communicating key information to members it does at least enable all those who attended to do so from the comfort of their own home!

A total of 27 people attended including trustees and advisers.  The minutes of the meeting are now available to view here on our website together with the agenda and supporting documents.  Another advantage of Zoom is that it is possible to record the proceedings so those who wish to see what happened in the AGM can watch it in full here

The key points featured in the AGM were;
  • Adoption of the accounts for the year ending 31st March 2020
  • Approval of the accountants for the year ahead
  • A progress report on the activities of the Trust since it was formed in November 2018
  • An update on the planning application for the Mill Road Development including a presentation from the Architects for the scheme
  • Questions to Trustees from members
So please have a look at the minutes or the video recording of the AGM to bring yourself right up to date with the current position.

Finally the Trust would like to wish all its members and the wider Westbourne community a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year but above all stay safe and healthy.

Frank Campbell
Chair of Westbourne Community Trust
