2020 has had a huge negative impact of Black businesses. It’s been reported that 40% of Black businesses nationally have closed due to the economic downturn caused by Covid-19. This is an opportunity for our community to support and patronize Black businesses safely while also promoting economic equity.

District 2012 Digital Market will feature an exciting and diverse range of local Black businesses from artisan candles and soap, to fresh baked goods, apparel, handmade wares and much more. Support our local business economy in Grand Rapids!

This is a Digital Market with Live Video vendor booths where business owners and shoppers can interact through video and/or chat to being a personal feel to virtual shopping.

It's Here! We have relaunched our website and business directory! We at Grand Rapids Area Black Businesses have been working over the last few months on creating a more robust website and directory for current and aspiring Black entrepreneurs as well as those looking to support Black businesses in the Greater Grand Rapids Area.

We've focused on creating an extremely user-friendly website and directory. Our directory features new capabilities and options.

For Black Entrepreneurs: We've created several options to list their businesses in our directory including a No Cost option, We created a Claim Your Business feature as well as the ability to list multiple businesses they owned under one account for easy management and updating.

For The Community: We've added a Directory Download feature that allows you to share our directory of Black owned businesses with your co-workers, friends, family, organization, and community.

Grand Rapids Area Black Businesses (GRABB) was founded in 2012 to create awareness and bring visibility to the Black business community. GRABB has been working for the last 8 years empowering the Black business community that is leading to meaningful and beneficial economic growth and sustainability.
