An Update on the 2020 Give A Mile Christmas Campaign

We are getting there!!! To date we have provided 22 of the 25 flights that we set as our 2020 Christmas Campaign Goal.

We could use your help!

It is our goal to raise 2,000,000 Aeroplan Miles. We are currently at 763,000. You can help us achieve our goal!

The Best Time I Could Ask For!

It is our privilege to follow up with every family that receives a flight from Give A Mile. Last Christmas, we provided Melanie and her daughter with flights to be with her terminally ill father. Melanie expressed how important it was for her to be able to be with her people that looked after her (she calls them mom and dad - the parents she never had). She shared how the simple and ordinary became the 'best time I could ask for!'

Mom and daughter traveled from Ontario, California to Edmonton, Alberta to spend time with her ailing father. They were able to share pictures and stories and watch John Wayne movies - her dad's favourite! It was an opportunity to just sit quietly and enjoy each others company. While Melanie helped out around the home, her mother taught her daughter how to crochet.

Cooking Up Christmas Flights - Huge Success!!

This virtual special event hosted by JD Lewis, and supported by Blue Flame Kitchen, Village Brewery, and Cask Global Canning Solutions, was a resounding success. Our supporters enjoyed live music by Pat Moore, delicious food and local beer.

Proceeds from this event will support our goal of providing 25 flights for families this Christmas.

2020 GivingTuesday Campaign Hits the Mark!

Thank you to all of our supporters that dug deep to make our 2020 GivingTuesday Campaign On December 1, 2020 such a great success.

Highlights:

$ 5,750 was raised!
50,000 Aeroplan Points donated!
$ 2,500 board match donation was achieved!
