Winter Ash Tree Removals

As part of the Village’s forestry operations, Staff will be removing Ash trees infested with Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) within road right-of-ways over the coming months. Trees scheduled to be removed will be painted with a green “E”. The Village of Bellevue will be removing and replacing roughly 150 Ash trees in 2021.

A large portion of the expenses for this undertaking are funded through multiple grants from WDNR, NEW Water, and ATC. With around 800 Ash trees remaining within public properties in the Village of Bellevue, removal operations will continue for years to come.

You can learn more about EAB, as well as the Village of Bellevue’s forestry operations by visiting the Park, Recreation & Forestry page on the Village’s website: http://www.villageofbellevue.org/departments/prandf
