Congratulations on the new and re-elected board members! The new Board terms will begin on January 1, 2021. The ANPR Board of Directors plan to host a full day Zoom meeting in January to discuss ANPR’s strategic priorities over the coming years.

We will transition our discussions from leadership to teamwork, although they are bound together as we will see as we continue our discussions. 

Teamwork can be defined as: Two or more people who are dependent on each other to accomplish common goals efficiently and effectively.

Excellent teams will have distributed participation and leadership. In other words everyone is involved in all aspects of the team and everyone assumes a leadership role on the team when it is needed. For example, you might be attending a planning or budget meeting at your Park as a representative of your division. If you are a member of an excellent team you are responsible to speak up if the meeting gets off course or bogs down without accomplishing the objectives established.

Since we were unable to go to Jacksonville FL this year for Ranger Rendezvous, our contract was extended to go there next year. The dates are October 12-18, 2021. We manage the RR using a “modified” incident management team. As the Rendezvous Manager, I will be establishing the Rendezvous Management Team in the next month, or so, to begin planning for RR44. I’m looking for volunteers to help with all aspects of the RR planning and on-site management, including: 

• Operations Section Chief
• Information Section Chief
• Logistics Section Chief
• The RR program and identifying potential presentations and presenters
• The Exhibition and identifying exhibitors
• Information, marketing, advertising
• The pre-RR training program
• The field trips and associated transportation
• The hospitality functions
• Room-share, ride-share
• Documenting the presentations
• Videography of presentations
• The raffle and auction functions
• The audiovisual equipment and set up for presentations
• The RR registration function
