An idea not coupled with action will never get any bigger than the brain cell it occupied.
~ Arnold Glasow

Happy New Year  <<First Name>>!!!

I know the previous year was unscripted. However, one of the most important lessons of 2020 is that you can thrive in the midst of chaos!

Y2020 came highly unpredicted: COVID - 19, Black Lives Matter, ENDSARS, GEN Z rocking the US Presidential election, celebrity podcast explosion, economic  meltdown, looting spree, Lekki massacre, recession... The list is long <<First Name>>, and in all sincerity, 2021 will not be any different in the grand scheme of things: COVID - 19 will not disappear overnight, 1 NGN will not become 1 USD today!

The choice is yours to make: to thrive or to thrive.

The summary of a thousand and one success stories is this - no matter what you learn or strategy you deploy, success is not one singular action; it’s a compound effect.

Compounding My Writings

I have consistently been writing (at least twice a week) for almost six months and there are no immediate results or big wins.

Apart from the feedback I receive from some readers, it makes no sense that there seem to be no substantial I told you I’d hit it big with writing remuneration. It’s almost looking like a rabbit hole that keeps taking from me: time, resources. However, it is up to me to show the world how they can be a better version of themselves through my writings.

It gets interesting when you figure that to sustain consistency is where the work is and to take long breaks in writing or rebuilding the habit is even more work.

The mandate is simple: it’s either I stick with writing to keep things going or I forget about everything.

Choosing to stick with your craft this year can be your greatest edge to compound results.

To compound results is to reap huge rewards from a series of small, smart choices. Smart choices like me doubling my writing time.

I have seen this work with spirituals and it occurred to me that whether you’re using this strategy to improve your health, relationships, finances, or anything else for that matter, the changes are so subtle, they’re almost imperceptible. However, the changes are there. I only find it amusing that we see the massive results all of a sudden.

What are you committed to doing this year?

As for me, I am doubling my input and with quality input comes quality output. Starting from the second half of 2021, I want to publish one article a day. I know the transition from once a week to daily is an extreme sport and it is worth the chase.

Give me enough time, and I will beat my present and old self, on all grounds.
