A Thank You from BTTC ⭐
As Christmas and the end of the year approaches, I want to send a “thank you” from the club to everyone who has been linked with us throughout this last, most unusual year.
You all know that we have tried hard to help keep everyone in our community active and involved from the very start of the pandemic restrictions. Where most table tennis clubs, leagues and other sports closed down, we kept playing - outside at first; we found new locations; designed AllStars TT, a new model of mass participation Table Tennis which has already clocked up 5001 games and 325 registered players in only a few weeks; created new holiday programmes for young people; had over 600 online fun and activity sessions and very importantly, established a Food Hub which continues still, one of only 10 out of 45 in Brighton and Hove still going.
We could not have achieved this without your support and good will. Your appreciation and feedback has provided the encouragement for the magnificent BTTC team to keep inventing and keep going enthusiastically, and I can’t ever thank our team and volunteers enough.
The writer and poet Maya Angelou said - “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Thank you for helping us feel so positive through this difficult year and we hope that we have made some others feel good too.
