Ripley County 2021 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Winner Announced

The Ripley County Community Foundation proudly announces Riley Schebler as Ripley County’s 2021 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship recipient. Riley will receive full tuition for 4 years of undergraduate study and a $900 per year book stipend to the Indiana college or university of his choice.

Riley is the son of Ryan and Jennifer Schebler and is a senior at Oldenburg Academy. Although he currently does not know which college he will be attending in the Fall of 2021, he hopes to attend either Indiana University or the University of Notre Dame to pursue a degree in Business. Along with being a top student at his high school, Riley is also a member of the National Honor Society, the Varsity Tennis Team, the Varsity Basketball Team, and is a volunteer at his church.

Turnover Hunger Raises $15,000 for 2020-2021 Season
The Batesville High School and Oldenburg Academy Varsity Football Teams raised $15,000 to support the Turnover Hunger Program during the 2020-2021 Season.  This year's funds will go to support the Weekend Backsack Program in the following schools: Batesville Elementary School, Jac-Cen-Del Elementary School, Milan Elementary School, South Ripley Elementary School, and Sunman Elementary School.  Joint efforts allowed $10,000 to be raised from pledges and donations, while the remaining $5,000 was gifted from the Ripley County Community Foundation's Board of Directors.  We greatly appreciate everyone's support to make this year successful!
Gabe Gunter Recipient of the
Robert G. Raver Memorial Award
Gabe Gunter, a senior at Batesville High School, is this year's recipient of the Robert G. Raver Memorial Award.  This award is given to a graduating Batesville High School football player who, "makes the most of his God-given abilities," during the football season and plans to pursue a higher education.  Congratulations Gabe!
