_Point of Divergence
We commonly know the door handle as a one-piece, however, JUMA architects, a young Belgian architect couple, suggests a handle which differentiates by not following this traditional perception. We can call it its 'Point of Divergence'.

Two years ago, JUMA architects, Mathieu Luyens and Julie van De Keere, could open the doors to their new home, a villa (HH47) which serves both as a family residence and as an architect's office.
HH47 is located away from the street, surrounding the house with lush greenery and complete privacy. Based on agricultural housing typology from the island Ibiza, the building consists of three volumes, varying in height and size and connecting into each other.
JUMA architects has a soft spot for long extended and low forms, which in their own house creates an easy flow and interaction for everybody, especially practical for the small ones. Only the master bedroom is located on the first floor, serving as a cosy and intimate nest. Large windows everywhere allow in the light and opens up the view to the outside.

During the construction of HH47, JUMA was in contact with Vervloet, and a mutual understanding led to an idea for a new Studio collection. A design which would serve not only as the principal hardware for their own residential project but also as an innovative addition to the Vervloet assortment.

The collection 'Divergence' stands out as a contemporary solution for the home with its possibilities for customisation, appealing both in terms of style and budget.
One part is made of black aluminium, the other in brass or aluminium. Wood, marble and glass are also available on demand. The long pull handles are particularly functional for sliding doors and heavy fridge doors.
For HH47, JUMA selected several different finishes, depending on the material used in each specific room. For the kitchen, the centre of the house, they chose a wooden finish to match with the cupboards.
