Dear RLab community,
We don’t have to tell you that the world now looks very different than it did just a year ago. Notwithstanding the challenges the global pandemic has brought, we’ve seen tremendous growth in the XR community in NYC and around the world, with unprecedented impact across sectors like healthcare, education and enterprise technology. We remain committed to supporting cutting-edge research, entrepreneurship and innovation in spatial computing and 3D technologies. However, to ensure continuity of our programs amid evolving health and safety protocols and continued restrictions on in-person gatherings, we are shifting some of RLab’s programs to NYU Tandon and NYU on-campus and online initiatives that can continue to support these programs.
Most educational programs have been moved to NYU Tandon Online, including non-credit online certificate courses developed by RLab and Tandon, as well as courses offered in partnership with Emeritus. Our long-time colleagues in the Integrated Digital Media program (IDM) continue to shepherd the classes, research and other work we are pursuing in areas such as virtual production and XR.
