Hello, it’s Wednesday.

I just discovered that there is a mini Schitt’s Creek Rosebud Motel in my neighborhood, and I cannot express to you how happy it makes me. I may have to change up my morning running route to include this block...whether or not my legs and lungs agree is another question.

What Seattle is talking about

Seattle’s Fresh Bucks expands. The program helps low-income households get fresh fruits and vegetables. Since the pandemic is still causing widespread food insecurity, the program will enroll an additional 3,100 people who will start receiving vouchers this month. (Seattle PI) Take action: Check out this map of food banks in Seattle, and consider making a donation. 

An app to enforce mask-wearing. Despite most local businesses requiring customers to wear masks, there is little they can do to enforce the request. Enter MaskCheck: a free app from Seattle-based RealNetworks that’s designed to be placed near an entrance or check-out register and encourage proper mask-wearing with visual and audio feedback. This Seattle artist is making glass houses. In the latest profile of artists from Crosscut, Fumi Amano talks about her new exhibit in downtown Auburn. Fumi uses old windows to create pieces that explore Japanese internment, racial identity, and cultural expectations placed on women. (Crosscut)
