🌹Schitt’s Creek comes to Seattle

Plus: Evergrey Extra members get 5 more last-minute gift ideas.

Hello, it’s Wednesday.

I just discovered that there is a mini Schitt’s Creek Rosebud Motel in my neighborhood, and I cannot express to you how happy it makes me. I may have to change up my morning running route to include this block...whether or not my legs and lungs agree is another question.

An app to enforce mask-wearing. Despite most local businesses requiring customers to wear masks, there is little they can do to enforce the request. Enter MaskCheck: a free app from Seattle-based RealNetworks that’s designed to be placed near an entrance or check-out register and encourage proper mask-wearing with visual and audio feedback. (The Seattle Times)

This Seattle artist is making glass houses. In the latest profile of artists from Crosscut, Fumi Amano talks about her new exhibit in downtown Auburn. Fumi uses old windows to create pieces that explore Japanese internment, racial identity, and cultural expectations placed on women. (Crosscut)

Some very Seattle Christmas songs. Well, since you’re (hopefully) not going anywhere for the holidays, lean into being at home in Seattle with this excellently curated playlist of holiday songs from local artists. There’s even a “Local Music Lowdown” musician on there — hey Tomo! (Seattle Met
