SMCS NEWS: GOD IS WITH US

The wait is over!

"For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord.
And this will be a sign for you: you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.
And suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host with the angel, praising God and saying:
'Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.'"
LUKE 2:11-14

We have all been counting the days until Christmas Break and yet again, as we encounter student artwork in our hallways we realize that much remains the same in this world full of unknowns. Angels, handmade by our littlest babes, proclaim His birth.

He has arrived at Saint Mary's Catholic School. O Come Let Us Adore him with our songs of joy and gratitude for all he has given us by his birth!

St. Mary's Church in Richmond is pleased to announce that Anne O'Byrne and David Fisk will be with us for two events in our parish Church on Sunday, December 20th.

In the tradition of a service of "Lessons & Carols," we are privileged to have Anne and David provide an extensive musical presentation as part of our "Service of Scripture & Songs" for the Advent/Christmas season.

Anne and David are preparing to move to Charlotte, N.C., where David has taken a new position with the Charlotte Symphony. We are thrilled that they will be with us on December 20th to perform sacred and seasonal selections for this Christmas season!

Beginning at 2:30pm and 5:00pm on Sunday, December 20th, we start with a brief service of Scripture & prayer, followed by music of this season performed by Anne and David. We conclude with a blessing and hymn.

Follow the link below to reserve your seats for one of these events. Due to COVID restrictions, seating will be limited. EVERYONE who attends must wear a mask while in the church buildings, and everyone will be screened as they enter.
