St. Weonards Carol Service on Zoom
.
Everyone is welcome at our carol service on Friday 18th at 6pm on Zoom.  We have tried to include all our usual favourites -- Richard Mynors will be playing the organ at Treago for us to join in carols together -- as we will be at home, we can all sing as loudly as we like!   The service will also include recordings of music and carols, made by some of the Benefice choir and other local families in St.Weonards church specially for the occasion.

Please click to access the Zoom link shortly before 6pm on Friday.

Sunday 20 December - 10am
All Age Worship in church

We are very excited to be able to meet in church for this service - we will be ensuring that we keep to social distancing, so everyone can stay safe in the run-up to Christmas. Following on from our 4 services exploring the prophecies about Jesus, from Genesis to Joseph's dream, we are finally at the nativity itself!
If you have a set of nativity figures at home, please bring them with you, as we will need them to 'tell the story' together.  All welcome!

Sunday 20 December - 3pm
Benefice Carol Service

If you can't make the St.Weonards carol service on Friday evening, or you would like to sing some more, please join this carol service with a difference!  Instrumentalists from across the benefice have all contributed to building a 'virtual' orchestra to accompany our carols. Our readings are dramatized so that we hear the well-known story from the view-point of some of the biblical characters.

Thursday 24 December - from 4pm
Crib Service on YouTube

We know how much families and young children enjoy the Christmas Eve Crib Service, so Frances is making a filmed crib service which will be available on YouTube for families to watch at a time that works for them!  Please find the link on the website when it goes live.

Christmas Day - 9.15am
Holy Communion in church

Everyone is welcome to Holy Communion on Christmas morning in St.Weonards church.  If you have not been in recently, the church is looking lovely, with beautiful flowers - as you can see in this photo in the glorious afternoon sunshine this week!  So even if you don't feel able to join in a service, please remember you can come into the church for private prayer, and to sit in this special place in your own time.

Thank you to everyone who has been looking after our church building, making beautiful flower arrangements, even when many of us have not been able to be there.

Thank you too to everyone who has contributed to our Christmas services, with instrumental playing, singing, baking, and reading!

May the joy of the angels,
the eagerness of the shepherds,
the perseverance of the wise men,
the obedience of Joseph and Mary,
and the peace of the Christ child
be yours this Christmas.
