Looking Back on 2020!

This has been a year like no other- but librarians have helped us get through it! From SBPL Delivers to virtual SB Reads, here are some of our Santa Barbara Public Library and Santa Barbara Public Library Foundation accomplishments from the past twelve months.

In 2020, the Santa Barbara Public Library Foundation was able to grant the following to the Santa Barbara Public Library, because of donors like YOU!

We Open Doors!

Women’s Fund Passthrough Grant for "Library on the Go"- $100,000

SB Foundation COVID-19 Response Grant (digital resource support)- $10,000

Children’s Library Endowment distribution- $64,492

SBPL Delivers- $6,000

SB Reads 2020 Virtual Author Lectures with author Elizabeth Gilbert- $10,000

Hundreds of Library patrons attended the virtual author conversation with Elizabeth Gilbert. The Library was also able to connect the author with a few virtual classrooms, where she discussed creativity, art, and overcoming fear with groups of High School students. Thank YOU for sponsoring!
