HyQuest TB7 Rain Gauge
We are now providing the recently released HyQuest TB7 rain gauge as our mid-tier rain gauge. The TB7 builds off the success of its big brothers – the meteorological grade TB6 and TB3 gauges. The TB7 features an excellent debris filter, WMO standard 200mm diameter catchment area and excellent long-term accuracy. Contact us for more information and pricing.
Monitoring for Spraying and Pivot Monitoring
Heading into summer is a good time to check your wind sensor is fully operational, as the information can be especially useful when spraying on a vineyard or orchard. We can provide customised alarms (text, voice call or email) if the wind reaches a certain speed (i.e. average wind speed is 15 km/h, spraying may be affected) and/or begins blowing from a certain direction (i.e. wind is blowing from SE, spraying may be affected), so you know the wind may affect spraying. This can also be useful for pivot monitoring where the wind speed/direction affects your irrigation spray.

Now can also be a good time to check that all your weather sensors are operational to ensure any calculations you require are shown onsite i.e. dew point/wet bulb, evapotranspiration calculations. If the required sensors are in error, calculations cannot be provided.
Water Table
We can provide your regional council with water meter results on your behalf and you can view the information on your Harvest site. Access the water table via the viewing options section of the options menu, or via a shortcut set up on your homepage. See an example here or contact us to get this set up.

"We put in 4 soil moisture and temp probes last year and pretty much paid for them with one decision.  We are used to it getting dry in October but the probes told me it was quite a bit drier than normal and getting worse fast.  We brought forward our planned store lamb sales by 2 weeks and this allowed us to generate a good return for these lambs.  Two weeks later and they would've been worth $30 grand less.  The original cost of the probes was repaid many times over!"
