2021 Charity Knitting

Rose Haven is a day shelter and community center serving women, gender non‑conforming folks and their children experiencing poverty, trauma and intersecting issues.

Our 2021 charity knitting project is Winter Warmth for Rose Haven Women's Shelter. Any type of warm item is welcome—hats, gloves, scarves, cowls, even sweaters if you are so inclined. Since their guests are all ages, all sizes and color schemes are welcome. Want to crochet or sew an item? Go ahead. Machine washable is the only rule.

FREE YARN PICKUP
Stop by Friday, 1/22 and Saturday, 1/23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Email outreach@puddletownknittersguild.com for the pickup address.

Lockdown in East Africa has been much the same as for the rest of the world, so our sister guild has not been able to meet together to knit. Worse yet, they have not had access to the market to buy yarn which is in short supply even in good times. But, undaunted as knitters tend to be, they’ve still been busy knitting up their stash, falling in love with circular needles, and discovering cables.
Guild Membership
Since we've been meeting virtually, we've been able to expand our horizons when reaching out to speakers. We have spectacular guests lined up for every month. Plus, Anna Lorton, our tips expert, will continue to bring clever tricks for all skill levels.

We're happy to have guests at our events. After a meeting or two, we ask that you support our programs by becoming a member.
